The Deaf Girl In the Party

She was the deaf girl in the party of love. Unable to hear the music everyone else was dancing wildly to. Unable to move to the rhythms the other girls easily swayed their hips to. She flared around uneasily, bumping into the other dancers around her and upsetting any partner who was brave enough to dance with her. She’d leave most parties upset and completely unable to fathom the idea of ever setting foot in another party of love.

Yet she always finds herself in yet another party. Just as bewildered and uneasy as ever.
